Computer Forensic Services LLC was founded by Stephen Swanson following a 35 year career in law enforcement. His career began in 1972 with the Albuquerque Police Department, and continued with his appointment as a FBI Special Agent in 1982. In 1997, he became a member of the FBI’s Computer Analysis and Response Team, (CART) serving in Los Angeles, California. Computer examinations have included cases dealing with murder, rape, kidnapping, bank robbery, drugs, organized crime, bribery, fraud, forgery, telemarketing, credit and debit card fraud, health care fraud, environmental crimes, child pornography, campaign financing, export enforcement, customs violations, anti-trust, terrorism and national security.
He transferred to Boston, Massachusetts and continued working as a full time Special Agent CART examiner until his retirement as a special agent in 2002. He is a member of the Licensed Private Detectives of Massachusetts (P-1616).
